Joanne Hurt

Joanne Hurt

Boss of All Things

Whilst you’ll see Joanne in professional attire during the work week, as soon as you get her out of the studio she is often to be found in one of two places. The first and most likely is in the remotest parts of our country, driving her 4WD through challenging terrain, showing her fellow campers that incredible dining experiences can absolutely be achieved in the middle of the Australian bush. The other place is in any restaurant with both beautiful décor and an amazing degustation menu on offer. Joanne is all about challenging norms; proving to clients that just because something has always been done a certain way, it doesn’t mean we can’t change it.

Cassie Dowlan

Cassie Dowlan

Design Wizard

Cassie is a person who grasps the world with both hands. When she isn’t in the studio, Cassie will likely have a book in one hand and a piece of chocolate in the other. If she isn’t reading, she could well be satisfying her shopaholic tendencies with some online scrolling whilst patting her miniature schnauzer. In the great outdoors, Cassie can be found gripping a set of handlebars while bike riding with her family or reeling in a fish out on the boat. If you’re lucky, you may even end up visiting our studio on a day she brings some home baked goodies!

Annette Miller

Annette Miller

Design Guru

Annette is our resident green thumb, a lover of plants both in the garden and indoors. When she can’t get to the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens for a walk, Cassie enjoys chilling out with a cheeky gin and listening to music, especially RNB, hip hop and neo soul genres. With a 2025 aspiration to attend hot pilates and pottery classes, you should ask if she has made a start yet!

Jess Santy

Jess Santy

Marvel of Joinery and Interiors

Jess' life interests are as versatile as her design skills. If you see her with headphones on, she is probably listening to a podcast, be it self-development, health or design related. In work and in life, creativity is expressed through every fibre of her being. She enjoys dabbling in experimental art, creating both abstract and portrait pieces in her spare time. Her mastery of a brush is a skill that others in the design team are quite jealous of!

Studio Ninja

Studio Ninja

Meet our Studio Ninja, the first person in our team that you will say hi to. They're the guru of giving advice on where to start, the aficionado of appointment bookings and a pro at passing information around the team. This is a role with many hats. And guess what? The Studio Ninja seat is a game of musical chairs, adding a touch of mystery. Whilst the person on the end of the Studio Ninja email may vary, your Broadfeather Design experience stays consistent from the very first "Hi"!

Mr Carson

Mr Carson

Wellbeing Guru

Mr Carson is a part time employee but definitely the most popular one in the studio. He’s a delightful dachshund, a silly sausage and a handsome hound with a passion for pats and ear rubs. Happy to make friends with anyone who visits but completely understanding that everyone needs boundaries, Mr Carson doesn’t get offended if you aren’t a dog person (he just uses the excuse to take a long nap under his mum’s desk). If you visit our studio on a Tuesday or Thursday, feel free to introduce yourself to the office wellbeing guru. He has a magical way of making any day better.
