The nitty gritty (FAQs)

How does my designer get to know my style?

We want to get to know you! We will start by asking you to fill in a short questionnaire to help us get inside your head quickly. We’ll also send you a range of inspirational images and ask you to pick your favourites. You then send that back to us along with a few photos and measurements of your room. We would also love to see any images that represent your style, to help us get the full picture.

What if I don’t like the first concept that is sent to me?

All our packages include an allowance for design revision. Once you receive the initial concept, if we haven’t hit the nail on the head – please tell us, we won’t be offended. Tell us what you love, what you like and what you don’t like about the concept. We’ll ask you questions to help us understand your feedback and make tweaks based on your feedback.

Can you work with my existing pieces?

Yes! We love working with the pieces that you have collected over the years and adding new finds to give a fresh look to your space.

What companies do you select furniture and accessories from?

We do not have a set range of suppliers that we use as each project is individually tailored. We can reassure you that we select from reputable brands including names such as GlobeWest, La Forma, and Satara.

Where can I buy the selections from?

Your decorative selections quote will outline the supplier, product details, retail price and the Broadfeather industry price you pay if you order through us. You can either source the items direct from the retailers or you can save a few pennies and order through us. You also don’t have to buy all the items at once.

What is Broadfeather industry pricing?

As designers, we have access to a much wider range of items than what you see in retail showrooms. Some suppliers don’t have the space to showcase their entire range and others don’t have a retail showroom at all. This doesn’t mean that the quality is any less, it just means they can offer their full range to designers without all the normal overheads.

What if I don’t want to buy any of the selections?

That is fine! If you would like to use the process as an inspiration springboard and then source your own selections, that is completely fine. However, if you would like to take advantage of our Broadfeather industry pricing we will coordinate the order and delivery for you. You also can purchase a few items, or even purchase them over time to spread out the cost.

How can I be sure of the quality of the selected items if I can’t see them in person?

If we wouldn’t be willing to have something in our own home, we won’t recommend it for yours.
